How long will it take?
There is no general answer to this question. Everyone’s system is different and there are many variables to consider. How resourced an individual already is, how many traumas have accumulated throughout life, how open someone is to the process, and what one’s healing goals are, can all factor in to how fast things go. That said, this is a relatively short term approach and remarkable changes can happen within 5 to 10 sessions. This isn’t something that needs to take years and years!
Does this therapy work for physical, emotional or mental trauma?
Yes, all of the above. The process is the same no matter what cause or source of the trauma.
What if I don’t remember what happened?
It is not necessary to remember the details of what happened or even to know the facts. We can still effectively get to the root and do the repair …
What if I don’t feel comfortable talking about what happened?
The good news is you don’t have to. We can still effectively get to the root of the issue and do the repair work.
What if I didn’t experience the trauma but witnessed someone else during a traumatic event?
This is a real phenomenon; you aren’t imagining your symptoms. Somatic work will resolve your symptoms.
